Anyone want a really cute decoration for Halloween? Because, really.... if we have to have this holiday, why not at least stick something cute up? CONTEST ENDS MIDNIGHT PST TUESDAY!! I will ship this Wednesday morning priority mail so it can be to your home by Fri or Sat.
Please forgive the terrible photo -- this will change tomorrow! This is an 85" banner with 13 flags sewn into a grosgrain ribbon. This banner sells for $25 in the shop.
Here's how you enter:
You can earn up to 10 entries for the drawing. Here's how:
1. You can earn all 10 in one fell swoop by buying anything in the shop. This includes a gift certificate, newly added to the shop. (Just comment on this blog and let me know you ordered something or when you order something, convo me and let me know you'd like to be entered in the drawing.)
2. Comment on this blog post. =) Easy as pie.
3. Go to the shop and pick out your favorite item currently in the shop and let us know by commenting on this blog (this would count as TWO entries).
4. Become a follower of this blog.
5. Add this blog to your blog page and then comment here and let me know you did it.
6. Become a "fan" on facebook. Our fan page is under Whimsy Quilts.
7. Refer friends to become fans. For every friend that actually does, comment and let me know and EACH friend will constitute one entry (up to 10).
8. Refer friends to our giveaway either by email, facebook posting or blog posting (and then comment here and let us know you did).
9. Last, but not least, tell me your FAVORITE thing about Halloween or Halloween parties. Because even though icky people, can ... well, ... make it icky, there's still some fun things about Halloween. I personally love bobbing for apples (mostly knowing that in the end I get to dip it in caramel, mmmm, yummy!), going to Halloween parties where they stick out bowls of spaghetti and olives and you have to feel behind a curtain, all the while being told it's brains and eye balls!! (oooh, spooky). And finally, that my sweet kiddos are going to be a sweet little fairy and a very scary (21 month old) monster.
Good luck!!

ReplyDeleteIt was so great to meet you last weekend at the Junk Salvation Show. You are adorable and Im glad that you found so many wonderful treasures in our booth!
As far as what I love during Halloween...I love the socializing that occurs for parents while they are waiting for their little 'gobblins' to trick or treat. AND I love the excitement on the faces of my two daughters as they receive candy! It is priceless.
Happy Halloween to you and your kiddos.
Love,
Tinell

ReplyDeleteAlways up for a coffee on my sis (: So I hope I win!! Umm ok, I am a follower, my fav thing right now on your blog is the pink and yellow banner...so cute. I think my favorite thing about Halloween used to be the candy, it's no secret I have a ridiculous habit of eating lots and lots of candy. Now my favorite thing is my kids excitement about dressing up. Or is it how many times they change their minds on what they want to dress up as. Or maybe how they talk about Halloween but have no idea what it is (: Ok I am gonna refer, refer, refer (: Love you
ReplyDeleteMy mom always advised me to be a leader and not a follower....but for this I'll make the exception! I'm proud to be a follower of Whimsy Quilts.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Your Beth baby quilt is my favorite creation. It is gorgeous! Oh and I already had you listed on my blog page as a blog I follow.

ReplyDeleteI love the bubblegum that my kids never eat ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love wearing a costume... usually a funky dress (from my mother-in-law's 7o's stuff) and heading out with the kids ;-)
I also love those huge, red wax lips...
I love the Molly Quilt and the orange and green fabric banner.
ReplyDeleteItzyBitzyClay added both the items as favorites and your shoppe as a favorite... ;-)
I also liked you on facebook ;-) and will share you now with friends... LOL
Ok, ladies, tick tock, it's getting close! Thanks for all your awesome comments!! Chances are I'll be asleep at midnight, so I'll draw in the morning and try to get an address from the winner so I can go straight to the post office. If you want to send yours to me now, then I'll have it just in case.

Hi ladies,
ReplyDeleteJust in case you check here, I'm sorry for the delay, but there have been ladies I don't know "like" Whimsy Quilts on facebook... This is awesome, so thanks!! But, I want to get your name added to the drawing the correct number of times, so I'm wondering if any of you referred those ladies (#1) and if they'd like to be added to the drawing (#2)... But, because the banner is for Halloween, I'm only going to wait to see if I hear from any of you or them by TONIGHT, Wed. midnight and if not, do the drawing right away in the morning. Then the banner & gift card will be overnighted. So sorry for the confusion!! I'll get this giveaway thing right the next time around. Check back in late Nov./early Dec. for another giveaway!! xo, Cristi
